The Sacred Heart team provides ongoing therapy groups on the following topics:

We’re pleased to introduce the Adult Autism Support Group, a new community for young adults with high-functioning autism to connect, share, and grow together. This FREE group provides a safe space to talk about your experiences, challenges, and successes while building meaningful relationships. Our first meeting will be held on October 20th at 4 PM at St. Michael’s Church in Leawood.
All subsequent meetings will take place each Monday at 4pm.

This is a 12 week group for men focused on healing from unwanted sexual behavior. The group utilizes the book, “Unwanted” by Jay Stringer as well as the digital workbook.

This group focuses on helping men heal from struggles with unwanted sexual behavior, pornography, emotional or physical affairs, etc. Men will learn the following in this group:
Where their struggles with unwanted sexual behavior originated - family of origin wounds, trauma, early exposure, etc.
How to heal from the shame of unwanted sexual behaviors
How to build a solid recovery plan with regular accountability, vulnerability with others, 12-step groups, etc
How to understand betrayal trauma, and empathy for spouses/partners, along with ways to rebuild trust
How to replace isolation and shame with a lifestyle of healthy connection
We are including some resources for spiritual direction, theology of the body, and healthy intimacy in marriage
We ask participants to commit to all 12 sessions, which provides consistency and helps men feel safe to open up to each other. The group is open to married and single men.
Sam Meier is CSAT trained, and Sean Faulkner has trained with a CSAT counselor. The fee for each group session is $60. Participants will be charged after each session.
If clients miss a group session, they will still be charged for that session at $60. If a client drops out of the group, they will still be charged for the remaining sessions at the $60 rate.
