Still Waters Counseling Becomes Sacred Heart Counseling
1/6/25
Hello and welcome to Sacred Heart Counseling!
Sam Meier and David Walter are transitioning from their previous partnership of Still Waters Counseling to the joint mission of the newly created Sacred Heart Counseling. We are excited about the ability of this counseling practice to continue providing authentic Catholic counseling to our area.
It’s been a joy to work closely together on the creation of Sacred Heart Counseling over the past year. This is a Catholic group counseling practice, and we are excited to bring Christ-centered mental health care to many families and parishioners in the area.
We have known each other for over 7 years, and attend the same parish - Prince of Peace in Olathe. We see each other often at Mass and enjoy getting our families together. For over a year, we have been meeting weekly and discussing our practice, counseling cases, prayer intentions, and clinical trainings along with fun things with our families, sports and hobbies.
During this process, we continue to hear from and meet with Catholic counselors desiring good ongoing formation, case consultation, prayer support, and teamwork. These great desires are now realized in the formation of Sacred Heart Counseling. The practice consists of a team of counselors focused on living their vocations out in the practice of mental health therapy.
Our devotion to the Sacred Heart came to us in prayer during the creation of the practice. The attributes of this devotion exemplify our work of bringing the Lord’s love, mercy, healing and peace to people through solid Catholic counseling.
Sacred Heart Counseling Mission:
Sacred Heart Counseling supports individuals, couples and families in finding peace in the midst of emotional and relational distress. We are a team of counselors rooted in Catholic teaching, who provide research-based clinical work, aimed at healing the mind, body and soul.
We are excited to participate in the Lord’s calling for Sacred Heart counseling. Please pray for us as we continue to build our team of Catholic counselors providing excellent mental health care with ongoing professional and spiritual formation.
