Two Catholic Counselors Bringing Gabb Wireless to Area

I’m excited to announce that Catholic counselor David Walter and I are partnering to bring Gabb wireless to families, schools, churches, and groups in our area.  Gabb wireless  makes safe phones  & watches for kids with no social media, no internet, and no unsafe apps. Over 50,000 families use Gabb devices, including our family and several friends.

We’ve met with staff from Gabb, and they’re a growing company that recently had a commercial during the MLB World Series.  David and I are excited about their products and mission.  It sounds like a good amount of their customers come from religious families.  Their safe phones are typically used by kids ages 8-15, and their safe watches are typically for kids ages 5-11. 

David and I have known each other for years, and see each other often at church. I admire his work, and we’ve had ongoing conversations about the negative impacts that smart phones and other devices are having on children’s mental health, innocence, faith, sleep, etc.

Here are several digital flyers that David and I worked on. Feel free to send these to friends, family, church, school, etc.  Feel free to post these on social media too. During my past work at the archdiocese, I gave over 50 Internet safety presentations at churches and schools. Parents often asked for recommendations on protection for phones and devices. Covenant Eyes and Bark provide good software for smartphones, but have limits.  Gabb wireless is doing excellent work with their safe phones and watches, especially for kids in 8th grade or younger. Our kids have been using the Gabb phone for several years, and my wife and I feel at peace that they won’t be exposed to inappropriate content. 

I know many parents want to stay in touch with her kids when they drop them off at practice, friend’s houses, etc. Gabb is leading the way with providing safe and affordable phones for families with K-8th graders. 

I’m very grateful to be partnering with David Walter on this project, and pray that many families throughout the area will consider getting a Gabb devices at age-appropriate times for their kids.

The devices are high-quality, and they have a new Gabb Phone 3 Pro made by Samsung, that we ordered for our 8th grader with some parent approved apps including ESPN, Taco Bell and Dominos.  One of our kids was pumped about the Taco Bell app :)
